Meet Our Pastor: Jarod Thomas
Jarod Thomas is a thirty-something husband of one and father of two, with a passion for language, culture, ideas, and personal connection. He has a breadth of experience serving in the local church, campus ministry, administrative, and international contexts. He has also served as a high school chaplain. Jarod enjoys a wide variety of hobbies (probably too many), including backpacking, mandolin playing, scuba diving, cycling, disc golf, and is handy with everything from a chainsaw to a sewing machine.
Jarod is an ordained minister and holds a BA in Near Eastern Studies/Arabic from Wayne State University and an MA in Pastoral Ministry from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University.
Jarod and his family live downriver of Detroit, Michigan, where he serves the Detroit Oakwood and Monroe congregations of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
